Formula 1 New Jersey Track Description

The race track was designed by German race track designer Hermann Tilke and will use existing roads except for the new pavement needed for the paddock and pit area. The Formula 1 New Jersey start line will be located near the New York Waterway ferry terminal. The track will run clockwise starting with a first straight that will run along the Hudson River Waterfront Walkway, before climbing the Hudson Palisades along Pershing Road. The circuit will then follow Boulevard East north to Donnelly Memorial Park where the drivers will turn right and descend Hillside Avenue to a challenging hairpin turn. The track then flows south to the ferry terminal via Port Imperial Boulevard. The track location is close to public transportation and features scenic skyline views and numerous elevation changes.
