The New Jersey Formula 1 Race has been Postponed till 2015.

Although New Jersey, Mexico, and Korea were listed provisionally on the Formula 1 2014 Race Calendar, all three races did not make it onto the final 2014 Grand Prix Schedule.

Formula 1 New Jersey formally known as the Grand Prix of America at Port Imperial was originally scheduled for June 2013 and postponed until June 2014 has since been postponed once again. Bernie Ecclestone said in a statement “There is great demand for a race in New Jersey and I have no doubt we’ll be racing at Port Imperial in 2015.” American Formula 1 race fans remain optimistic the Formula 1 New Jersey race will be added to the Formula 1 2015 race schedule.

The race was scheduled to run on a 3.2 mile street course along the banks of the Hudson River in New Jersey. The Formula 1 New Jersey race would not only provide exciting F1 race action for the expected 100,000 visitors but would also provide a positive economic impact with some estimates of up to $100 million in economic activity.

Red Bull Media House and Red Bull Racing came to Weehawken, N.J. to help promote the Formula 1 New Jersey event and filmed Red Bull driver David Coulthard driving his Red Bull RB7 Formula 1 car thru the streets of Weekhawken. A video on the making of the film can be seen below.
